Where is stratholme dungeon

Smoke Bomb. Hearthsinger Forresten. Enchanting Lullaby. Arcane Bolt. Frost Shock. The Unforgiven. Postmaster Malown. Curse of Tongues. Curse of Weakness. Timmy the Cruel. Ravenous Claw. Archivist Galford. Burning Winds. Fire Nova. Malor the Zealous. Lay on Hands. Head Crack. Ground Smash. Comment by Kardd It also seems in the last patch that Blizzard removed the requirement of needing the Scarlet Key to unlock Stratholme live side. Comment by Ydrisselle It seems you don't have to have the Scarlet Key for the living side anymore; my lvl69 DK without that key could go in and kill everybody inside.

Comment by that wasn't suppose to be a reply my bad lol. Comment by Renathras I just finished soloing this tonight as a Holy Paly. No, I'm not saying anything about that, anyone can do it at 80 probably. I was just thinking how awesome this instance is and a little creepy if you're going it alone with the lights off. Do that to all three Zigs on the UD side and the gate opens. Kill him and a mass of weak undead come out. Kill THEM and then some elites will posture about who dares to oppose the baron and they will come out, which, consequently, also finally opens the door to the Baron himself.

At this point, you know what to do. Old school WoW did do the epic atmosphere thing very well. Hopefully, Cata will too. But I wanted to post here to say this really is an awesome instance. Sometime when you can get a few friends at even 5 80s would be fun , just come in, walk around, and bask in the instance. You're in a TOWN complete with signs on the shops and mailboxes.. It's dingy, creepy, beat to heck the sky looks AMAZING though, don't forget to look up at least once filled with traps the gates , knowledge books in the Scarlet hold and intrigues.

You can also pick up some pieces of your Dungeon Set 1 I got 2 pieces of mine. Have fun and enjoy what this place has to offer. It really is an amazing instance. Oh, a warning to Paladins: Mind the spider guys on the UD side. Their webs rooting you may not seem like a problem Freedom works as does bubble but you can't use Freedom while silenced.

Also, no, the mount didn't drop. Though I didn't realize it was there Comment by Note: On the Baron, when Ramstein spawns, you can run up as hes comming out of the building slaughter house and not have to deal with the undead wave. You WILL, however have to deal with the 6 or so guards immediatly after boss fight. Ghouls still apply this stupid thing to players.

Comment by randomguy43 Are people running this place with the new LFD system? I would simply love to have a crack at it with an appropriately leveled party, even if we are all decked in heirlooms! The mini-bosses are - Baroness Anastari Maleki the Pallid Nerub'enkan Right before the Slaughter House there is a narrow pathway which has a boss named Magistrate Barthilas this boss is optional however, if you did NOT go through the service gate entrance then this boss will be in front of the chapel and most likely you would have to kill him because avoiding him is pretty hard unless you stick to the wall.

In the start of the undead side, if you go to the right over by where the side entrance is there is a postbox for another boss but you need the key to open the postbox the boss only appears when you open all four post boxes. After you kill the mini-bosses the gate opens thus allowing you to enter the district at which the Slaughter House is at before entering the slaughter house you must kill all of the abominations after doing so, a boss will come out of the door.

You have two options for this fight. The first is to stay outside and wait for the boss to come outside OR you can go up to the door so when it opens you can walk in and kill the boss inside the slaughter house but if you do decide to enter the slaughter house, once you kill the boss five guards will spawn right on top of you so if you decide to enter you better have a good group.

If you decide to wait outside, when you kill the boss a lot of ghouls come out of the right side gate of the slaughter house the only gate they are weak but, there are alot of them so I suggest have at least one AoE DPS. After you kill the boss Ramstein the Gorger a timer sets for when the doors open again, when the doors open again Black Guard Sentries come out and patrol around the quarter of the city, they run when they patrol so, when you see them just kill them, they're pretty easy to down.

After you kill these five mobs, you can finally go on to Baron Rivendare for this fight, your group will have AoE damage done to them by one of Baron's buffs.

Also, Baron summons skeletons to help him fight, these skeletons actually heal him if you dont kill them so if you have an AoE dps it should be easy to kill them.

Only about four to five spawn. He hits for about five hundred at most. Notable Loot: Baron Rivendare's Deathcharger - Most people farm the dungeon for this mount because it is pretty rare, also who doesnt want to have an undead horsey especially for alliance. Its free also hehe besides the time you put into getting it All the Dungeon set leggings - Just some set you can get, it's not too important anymore but back when sixty was the level cap these items can be turned into a stronger level sixty set with a few epics which could've gotten you into ZG but thats pretty much it.

Comment by Jdwicker anyone know why there is an BC dungeon instance inaccessible by a gate at the back of the entire city? Comment by Farming gold in Stratholme. I needed some quick gold to power level my enchanting. I carried over 90 empty bag slots and it took just a bit over 3 hours which included a port out to do a bag dump and I netted a total of g.

Here is the breakdown: Figures rounded down. Junk and SB items g received from the AH. Costs included repair, postage to my alt, flights, food and 48h AH listing fees. I should have just done 24h listings. Live and learn. Stratholme is a fun place to solo as I could pull mobs at a time and never come close to dying. The rest of the stuff I sold at the AH were potions, herbs, a few gems and the like.

I put up a total of 88 listings on the AH. I have had far less fun spending far more time making far less gold. Comment by Azvolrien Stratholme is a fantastic place to farm Runecloth.

I've been doing solo runs on my hunter trying to get the mount off the Baron, and so far I have yet to leave the instance with less than 15 full stacks of cloth. Comment by Zalmiak Lore: The city of Stratholme was the northernmost and second most populous city of the kingdom of Lordaeron , and is the city where the Order of the Silver Hand was founded.

Today, the Scourge 's capital in Lordaeron, Stratholme is a city of evil and dark magic. Kel'Thuzad raised undead structures among the human ruins. Stratholme burns to this day, and its districts have been split between the overzealous Scarlet Crusade led by Grand Crusader Dathrohan , and the Scourge forces led by the Death Knight Baron Rivendare. Comment by Just soloed the death side with my lvl 60 retri pala. Was quite fun, took abit of trying but no biggy. Im in full t2. No mount, but I got the chopper so. Love the old instances. He is located strolling the circle arround the area where you would normally come in from. He dropped a pair of leather gloves. Skulls Fingerbone Gloves.

He also dropped about 13 silver in loot and some bone fragments. I am not shure of his spawn percent or other things he drops but I just noticed that he isn't in the list! Glad to help! Comment by FelBlud15 Does anyone know what a full clear would yield in rep? Comment by jcns very nice way to earn some gold if your struggling with gold at around with the orbs in the living side going for a high amount of gold in the auction house and all the BoE blues you get you can make about gold a run depending on if you get orbs because they are the main source of gold.

Comment by In Cata, this zone will have it's base level reduced to scale with the new plaguelands, and quests will follow you throughout the area. And the end boss is no longer Baron Rivendare , but instead our old friend Aurius , who seems to have gotten a promotion of sorts.

Comment by Electrospell Did a full run this morning, killed all bosses and all of the the trash mobs. The result was: reputation with Argent Dawn 50g from looting 22 stacks runecloth Orc Death Knight 80 - 25 September Augustus the Touched You do one quick quest for him to get his receipt book from the nearby inn and then he is available to sell to.

He also sells mushrooms and a 'grab bag' with a green item wearable by characters in their mid's. Comment by Grekos Guys i have another problem. I kill Baron, and when i get out, loads of zombies come, i kill those and the i want to get out so i can get in again farmin mount countless times:P.

The problem is that i cannot use the entrance on the east , cause behind the green portal thingy there are closed bars Is there a way of opening those bars and releasing the final gate? The live and undead sides are now two separate instances. Magistrate Barthilas does not drop the Key to the City, which I believe has been taken out of the game.

But this is all right, because the Eastwall Gate service entrance no longer requires a key. Eligor Dawnbringer congratulates you for opening Stratholme to the forces of the Light. He's not kidding; Argent Crusaders now battle the undead around the city. Players get a sense of real accomplishment--of progress against the Scourge--that didn't exist before. Comment by Qoko I'd like to add a few things to this: since the Shattering, the quests of dungeons are now IN dungeons making access easier, yet again, perhaps too easy.

This means for Stratholme that you can accept: the Living side quests near the regular entrance, involving a quest to kill a random npc, the tabacco guy, get a painting from the bastion, and kill Balnazzar.

Undead side quests from the Alonsus chapel. This involves quests to make a portal with Banshee q-items, kill some random npc similar to the living side , kill Ramstein, and kill Aurius. The portal mentioned in the first quest DOES appear after Aurius' death, sadly, it does not provide teleportation to the entrance, EP or something at all.

In a short while all of this will probably be published here but I thought I'd mention as I picked up the Deathcharger grind again today. Comment by vkez Since the cataclysm, it requires level 37 to enter. Comment by RoboNoob This video pretty well illustrates the changes made to Stratholme in the most recent patch. Comment by Where does one now, after last patch, turn in scourgestones? Comment by Getting reputation while doing Baron runs is no longer possible.

Now you have to do a chain quest to unlock repeatable reputation quests. Recovering a book near Instructor Galford awards you reputation points. And since you cannot move between Living and Undead sides inside the instance, you have to run to the Service Gate from the maingate in case you want to do a Baron run after recovering the book for reputation. I havent taken time but I guess the for humans rep award compensates the fact it takes longer to run both instances.

Comment by Iheartbeer A few other interesting changes to Stratholme undead side since the Shattering: You can engage and kill Magistrate Barthilas in the first room if you're fast enough There are now only 9 Venom Belchers and Bile Spewers in Slaughter Square Black Guard Sentry's now spawn after only 5 seconds or so A few trash mobs have been removed making it easier to run through without aggroing to much DE'ing blue items will now give you Small Brilliant Shards instead of Large Brilliant Shards like they used to.

Green items will give either Dream Dust or Greater Nether Essence Trash mobs give rep Gilneas in my case, as I was wearing the tabard while bosses give 60, though for some reason Rammstein only gives Comment by Kanariya Stratholme is mostly constructed behind its instance portal, though with several differences from its instanced version, including an area behind the raid portal within containing a ziggurat, and an uni-texture floating necropolis that looks very identical to Naxxramas, complete with a teleport hub underneath.

This has existed within the game since while in alpha, and you can still see the grey alpha-Naxx right from the gates of Strath with adequate view distance.

It seems the whole idea of incorporating it directly inside the dungeon was scrapped before release, yet it still remains today. Comment by kintotech As a warning to anyone attempting to stealth run this: A -lot- of the undead mobs can see through stealth, especially in the undead side.

There's some on the Scarlet side as well, but they're easier to avoid, imho. Comment by oregac Question: I've not run this instance in a while. Since, perhaps, , but I no longer get the debuff when I start the gauntlet. Has this changed or do I have to put it on a different setting? Comment by darkfir in the back of the gauntlet, where the argent paladins come from after you kill the last boss, there is a raid portal behind a closed gate.

Mostly have a mixture of greens and blues with a purple Skullflame shield. For the areas where the gates come down, any AoE is of course, your best friend. Constantly used Thunder Clap and Cleave throughout the entire instance.

I had no problem progressing and killing everything bit by bit from the living side first, then the undead side, just that it took awhile hours I think. For whatever reason, the skull in yellow before the cathedral on the living side seemed to never spawn a boss. Perhaps it got killed with ghouls and skeles in the mass of mobs around that area and I didn't notice but indeed, I couldn't tell anything unique about that mob from others if there is any. For the undead side, I had no problems opening the gates from killing the bosses of each ziggerut and the few casters inside the towers.

You'll know as each shouts that a crystal has been destroyed. For Timmy, I simply popped all cooldowns and kept up bloodrush and any other skill I could use as soon as I had rage to use it. Concerning the glitch in the abomination room past the portculli, I don't know if it still exists but now that I recall, I did run in closer to the walls first and killed the abominations furthest from any others so I'd prevent linking. I didn't happen to see any that moved to the gate; they all seemed to roam in circular patterns around the square maybe I didn't give it enough time.

Either way I had no problem killing them all and fought the good fight the first time but couldn't down Ramstein. Second go I had a dire lack of instant slams and he seemed to pound me even easier. Third time though I had a good amount of slams, along with firing every cooldown I had and that was just enough to defeat him. From there thankfully I had enough health to AoE the skeleton masses down just fine and the guards after were barely stronger than the regular ghouls so they went down fine.

From there in, the rest of the dungeon was not too hard. Usually I just fought them in the packs they came in at a time and it went fine with the ocassional food or potion. Filled my bags easily and due to picking up a purple enchanting scroll, a few orbs, and lots of green and blue NPCable items, probably made out with gold not counting what sells on AH. Good money if you just have time to run the place in full. Also killed the postmen. The packages and the mobs themselves gave me a toy, a mayor proclimation of some sort unreadable , and some other parchment that seemed to be junk.

The postmaster gave seemingly a decent blue item but nothing spectacular for the upper 60s by that point. Hope this helps ;. The only creeps considered alive on this side now are the quest NPC's. Prior to 4. A full clear on just this side could net you anywhere from 1 - 10 Righteous Orbs , and 7 - 10 Large Brilliant Shards. Twice, and only twice, was I lucky enough to get a full 10 Righteous Orbs in one run Burning Crusade. My average was 1 - 3 orbs per run, but I could net more on a particularly RNG happy day.

Thus, why I am stating it. Runecloth was also in abundance, and the greens could be disenchanted and would give anything from Illusion Dust to Lesser Eternal Essence and Greater Eternal Essence. Now in 4. The Service Entrance , also known as ' Dead Side ' - we were so creative back then - and the Main Gate are no longer connected. To facilitate the change, the previously perma-closed front gates have now been opened. The creep levels have been lowered considerably, and with them have gone the loot levels.

The only cloth I gained in both runs was Mageweave Cloth. For those leveling their tailoring through the Mageweave stage, this instance is a far cry beyond what Uldaman ever was in my personal opinion. Folks who are looking to get their Crusader enchant materials will still need to come here for the Righteous Orbs, but it's no longer a valid place for Large Brilliants. You'll want to head to Blackrock Spire. Sub-Note: This was run with a 65 and 85 DK. It took 14 minutes for both runs together.

It's perfectly soloable at 65, I just had the company for fun. Comment by Nepturion im getting angry at this place, when im inside i followed the map heading east.. This must be a bug or poor information given here. Do you need to collect or unlock the gates to the dead side?

Comment by Runemonger I found a raid entrance near the last boss on the dead side of stratholme, Its separated from us by an non interact-able gate. Perhaps the entrance to old raid stratholme? Old Naxxramas? Or maybe something we haven't even heard of, given up on by blizzard? The world will never know. Comment by MiltiadesBooga This place is grim, grim, grim. If you turn up your brightness and look closely you will see the remains of burnt people --they're smouldering, seriously.

When someone hits you with a hammer that big, you go splat quick on your face. No, these statue-like people can really only be the ones who who ran afoul of a peckish Mal'Ganis before Arthas could get to them. Remember how Tichondrius eating souls ignites people? Comment by Qoaleth There are a number of profession recipes that are unique to Stratholme. All of the following recipes are Bind on Equip BoE and so therefore could also be potentially found on the Auction House.

While farming these recipes you can also work on completing the achievement Exalted with Argent Dawn by means of a repeatable quest that is accomplished in Stratholme. All messages will be reviewed before being displayed.

Comment by ChillingOut Good old memories. I was so excited when Blizzard were to reintroduce Stratholme in WotLK but after being there, it's so watered down and boring. Why can't they bring the old Stratholme back up to level 80 where it should be? The place was epic! It is excellent for Argent Dawn reputation as well. If you're seeking the achievements for that rep this is a good place to get it. There are many bosses who drop Scourgestones.

As a level 80 mage in mostly quest blues it is not difficult at all. If you do every boss in the instance you can get k rep per run. Usually by just running the undead site of Stratholme I net 6 Corrupters Scourgestones per run. Comment by OK im at the Skull door, for the baron i think, there are 13 minutes on timer, im 80 paladin, all ziggs are clear, all abominations dead, and its not opening?

The chain starts in Orgrimmar with one of the An Earnest Proposition quests depends on your class and the four quests are: Dead Man's Plea - obtained outside Stratholme Proof of Life - obtained inside Stratholme and a selection of 1 out of 4 of each of these: The Left Piece of Lord Valthalak's Amulet The Right Piece of Lord Valthalak's Amulet Keep in mind that you have to do a lot of other quests before you can obtain these.

Comment by has anyone noticed a bug with this instance? Comment by uberwoods lol i hate this place xcept for the pimp hat that drops 2 manned with a bm hunter and a holy priest not geared at all. Comment by i just got from him the: Jeweled Amulet of Cainwyn along with 3 other blues : lucky me :P it is not even listed as possible drop from him, so i thought i add this here. Comment by I've just discovered something quite interesting upon my last visit to the good Baron.

After you've slain all the Abominations in front of the Slaughterhouse, of course our good friend Ramstein the Gorger will come lumbering out of the door. If you're farming the mount and want the fastest runs possible, than stay right by the door as Ramstein is coming out, pull him and walk through the door. You must kill Ramstein inside, the 5 or 6 skeletons will appear when Ramstein falls.

Upon killing the skeletons you will have access to the good Baron, although upon leaving the Slaughterhouse you will be greeted by a hundred skeletons, give or take. But at least you took out the Baron faster! Comment by Ok, when I am done killing Baron, all the exits are closed with a gate that cannot be opened with the Key to the City, what do I do? I heave to hearth every time!

Comment by Service entrance is now at Comment by can someone please tell me which npc's give you the curse? Comment by is this soloable by a lvl 71 dk? Comment by As a 73 DK I did it in quest greens no problem. This is as blood spec and in unholy presence the whole time. Rivendare was not a problem, just make sure the skeletons go down I think if you're 71 you'll be fine Anything 70 and over can probably run past most of the mobs, and the few that aggro can be able to taken care of no problem.

The only issues are the Eyes of Naxxramas which spring up every so often. There are also a fair number of rare bosses in this place. As a side note, I don't think there's a better place to farm Runecloth in the game. A min Baron run netted stacks Running Strat is great for farming gold, obtaining Deathcharger's Reins or getting faction reputation either Argent Dawn or City Reputation. The aforementioned diseases are the most troublesome part of the place, along with one of the crypt fiend types which seems to spam silences on you if you're a caster.

Comment by I killed all the ones u have to kill to summon ramenstein and hes not spawning. Comment by Ferlathin I killed all the ones u have to kill to summon ramenstein and hes not spawning. Comment by Just soloed baron side as a level 71 ret pally. Made sure I had seal of wisdom up for mana regen and used ret aura. As long as you can out heal your damage, you're fine. So anyway if you are eager to try, no need to wait til level 80 if you are the right class.

Comment by MaxWilder Why the hell is the actual location of this dungeon not listed anywhere? As if everybody has been playing this game since day one and has all the dozens of instances listed on a map in their head? That simple line should be on every instance page! Comment by I noticed that you can make quite a bit of money from here, im a level 80 DK to this is fairly easy, all the runecloth that dropsfrom here, not to mention the BoE Items can bring you anywhere from g a run.

Depending on your drops. Comment by just a quick overview of the flesh-golem glitch just before rammstein if you're grinding for the mount; there is a known glitch that, when only afew of the golems're left, they'll all despawn, respawn a second later, but even if you kill them all, the door doesn't unlock and rammstein doesn't appear. Comment by Just a warning for any 80s looking to solo this I tried on my pala ret spec shocking gear, don't chain pull 15 or so like u can in most other 60 instances as you will get killed most of the time on the UD side as u get silenced and feared much too often.

Living side was still pretty safe though. Really frustrating to manage to solo my way to the Slaughter, clear everything and then stand around wondering why nothing was happening and why I was barred in the area.

Comment by WlyWnka If you ever wanna farm for the mount then this map will truly help you. It will be easier if you have Key to the City because then you can use the entrance to the side where Baron is.

Deathcharger's Reins is the mount that drops :D. Comment by I'm farming this instance and I died right infront of the building where Baron is and I released and went back but when I got back the gate to go into Barons room with the aboms is closed, so I went back to where the people are to kill to open the gate and they're still dead, so I decided to exit and reset the instance but it won't reset Comment by Does anyone know why the entrance gates those at the proper entrance to the isntance, not the service entrance are locked?

And does anyone know how to open them? I've tried butchering every living and undead thing in the instance, including all bosses, but with no luck thus far. Once a great human city, the mad Prince Arthas ravaged Stratholme in the Third War and the undead moved in soon after. Undead and necromancers control the city while gargoyles and frost wyrms patrol the sky. Noxious orange mist oozes from the buildings and poisons living creatures, transforming them into servants of the Scourge.

The largest city after Lordaeron's capital, Stratholme was destroyed by Arthas in the opening hours of the Third War, as he massacred the city's citizenry after they were infected by the Plague of Undeath. Stratholme burns to this day, and its districts have been split between the overzealous Scarlet Crusade led by Grand Crusader Dathrohan, and the Scourge forces led by the death knight Baron Rivendare.

Comment by Stratholme undead side were ones a 10 man instance. I bet you it was hard ;. Comment by The service entrance to Strat is here With Enchanting on your Pally, this can be a pretty profitable place to DE. Comment by So i have a question? I solo'd this place on my shammy for Argent Champion title and was pretty easy considering i can clense my self from that disease that doesnt allow health regen.

This guarantees she will not possess you and have you kill your own pet or vice versa. Comment by "Additional instances cannot be launched, please try again later. Comment by Not sure if anyone has posted this and I don't feel like scrolling through them all so here ya go. All other rep remains the same. Boss rep remains. All of these mobs will grant 10 AD rep per kill. For a few side notes, completeing the Gauntlet within the time limit will grant bonus rep, the Thuzadin Acolytes in the ziggurats are the only non-elites that drop Invader stones and will also always grant 3 AD rep per kill, the Mangled Cadavers cast Cadaver Worms and the Scarlet mobs do NOT give AD rep.

And good luck. Comment by there is some type of mailbox about groups into the entrence what is that for? Comment by Here's a video I made of the full complete "Baron Run" starting from boss kill, spirit run, mob dodge and boss kill again. It's pretty much the same circuit each run, just watch out for flying gargoyles. Each cycle takes about 6 mins from start to finish. Comment by I recently went into Strat, and after killing the three tower ppl only the first of the gates to the slaughter house opened, how do i open the second one or is it just glitching?

Comment by GravenTerenas Was just doing a solo run for the mount, and I died due to chain silence from a crypt crawler.

Ran back to the side entrance and zoned in again, around 3 minutes after dying, only to find the instance had reset itself; all the bosses were up again, and the ziggurats were respawned I had destroyed all 3 crystals. Is it normal for the instance to reset like this if you wipe?

Fairly sure this has never happened to me before. It's a shame it will be abandoned, but at least now you can feel like you actually earned opening the gate, haha. Comment by how do i come in to the room whit baron rivendar in? Comment by hey anyone know whats behind the raid entrance at the end? Comment by It seems that Magistrate Barthilas does not spawn if you enter from the alternate entrance. Guessing it's because im only one person or have Key to the City with me.

Edit: I have most likely found the error. I hadn't seen the two places in which the Magistrate may spawn, nor do I know if he spawns everytime. I'm pretty sure that I didn't find him in either place last run though.

Will finish Stratholme research by tomorrow. Back to legit runs we go. Comment by collector A little glitch that is quite amusing in my opinion: You go through the back door service gate of strat and Magistrate Barthilas will run to the Northern gate and de-spawn so he can "warn Baron Rivendare of your intrusion". I did this the first time and thought simply "oh well, I missed him. Comment by dragunknight92 The firt time I ever ran Strath was at level 70 skipped it for BC content and so on my 1st run I soloed it, skipping the bosses in the zigurats.

Thats when I discovered that breaking the crates opened the gate to the Baron. From then on thats all I ever did and was very confused when it didnt work after a patch. Didnt know that that was a "cheat". Comment by Thottbot How do you get the Key to go in the gate on the East? Comment by Thottbot it drops off a sub boss right before you enter the area with all the stiches looking mobs, rolled a 94 and got it :.

Comment by Thottbot This is one of the best instances ever for those of u whodont know its the first city the undead started to take over in Wacraft 3 and Timmy is the littel kid you rescue in the optinol quest on the first level and is turnd into a ghoul on one of the later levels of the human campaing. Comment by Thottbot On top of knowing what to pull when, this little tip will make it much easier to complete.

Make sure you have a lock in the party. As soon as you drop Maleki the humanoid boss put a SS on the priest, have warrior lead a suicide run to the abominations, about halfway through the room to the aboms will do it. After everything finishes killing you and goes back to original positions, have priest get up and rez party, doesn't take long and allows for a large group of mobs to be skipped.

Though many do not like the idea of having an intentional wipe, this method does shave a couple of minutes, which is most often all you need. Comment by Thottbot Most of the comments about 10 man parties were made at least a year ago cause back then strat was way harder then it is now and back then there wasn't as much gear.

So don't get too confused about the whole 10 man groups. Comment by Thottbot If you notice the store signs, many of the people who originally owned them are alive now, for example: Leeka's Shields and Maces Comment by Thottbot I entered Stratholme and Comment by Thottbot i entered but i'm blocked by a gate The city of Stratholme was the northernmost city of the Kingdom of Lordaeron, and was the city where the Order of the Silver Hand was founded.

The largest city after Lordaeron's capital, Stratholme was destroyed by Prince Arthas in the opening hours of the Third War, as he massacred the city's citizenry after they were infected by the Plague of Undeath. Comment by Thottbot I solo this frequently as a level 70 enhancement shaman.

Not really difficult. I usually only run from the back gate entrance to Baron Rivendare, then leave for my 3g repair bill from the small damage taken, and to sell all the crap. Then I go back and repeat until I'm bored, and move on to something else. Can be soloed all the way through, but gets tight in places. For now, I'll just describe my usual, quick route through the back.

First group directly in front of the gate can be skipped by hugging left wall. The bard that drops the piccolo can be single pulled if he's up by peeking around the corner of the gated area and using lightning bolt, then running back through the gate and tucking around the corner so he can't shoot you with his bow.

Drop Mana Spring and Grace of Air totems, and pull with chain lightning on one of the elite zombies. Drop a stoneclaw totem and a magma totem, and begin killing. Take down the first elite, then the berserker skeletons, then the other elites.

Leave the casters for last; you should be resisting the majority of their frostbolts. You are killing the skellies because they generally go down easier, while hitting for only slightly less than the zombies. Heal to full, repeat on the next group. If you have any trouble, don't hesitate to burn shamanistic rage for the defense and heal yourself. Once you pass through the gate and Rivendare gives you your 45 minute warning, pull the nearest banshee.

If it's a shrieking banshee, wait for her to start casting, then nail her with earth shock to interrupt and pull her back. The next pull is tricky. Should be a banshee roaming back and forth to your left, a crypt fiend in front of you, and another crypt fiend to your right. Gargolyes patrol across the entire area, including a rare spawn gargoyle. Wait until the gargoyles are just beginning to leave aggro range, and lightning bolt nearest banshee. Again, if it is a shrieking banshee, interupt with earth shock.

Then run it back toward the gate, so it does not have line of sight to you. If done right, you should only have her. If not, you may have gargoyles. Not a tough fight. Next, watch the patrols and pull the gargoyles solo, if possible. Keep a tremor totem down; the ranged gargoyles sometimes fear for 2 seconds, which can be problematic.
